I got it. 16(root)-31(maj7). Factors fall on the same note with the tritone, min6, min7 & maj7's getting two harmonics each with both higher and lower variances (in cents). Maybe explaining why an F# and Gb are really two different notes or why there are so many different types of acceptable 7th chords or why the minor 6th scale is enharmonic to the major root but doesn't follow the same chord progression rules as the tonic. Who is with me? Anyone lost yet? I miss talking about music. :/

A guide to making the perfect Grilled Andy: heat skillet. Lightly butter skillet. Place two slices of bread on skillet. Toast only one side. DO NOT FLIP! Move bread from pan to plate grill side up. Apply a light ammount of peanut butter and your favorite jam or jelly to grilled side. Close grill side center. Cut once (side to side, not corner to corner). Enjoy.
Also: for the more adventurous types you can make a double grilled Andy by grilling the outside once assembled. (triple grilled Andy adds a slice of double grilled bread in the center with the jam and PB separate on either side of the center slice.)

So what I initially thought was going to be a great idea turns out to be detrimental to my coolness [not supposing there was much to begin with in the first place]. Went to casey's going away party last night. I would be more upset if
I didn't know I was going to see him tonight as well but still it
planted the seed of reality and it sucks. I'm super glad that he gets

Nicole and I ended up in Rosarito on Valentines day. I have to admit it was super legit. There are already plans to go back.

In the picture above is a "margarita" made with mexican sunny d, tequila out of a plastic squeezie bottle, and what looked like anti-freeze out of a 2 gallon jug. It was only to be expected at a $10 cover, open bar in mexico... you're going to drink a little anti-freeze. <3

Same party as the last. Same rules. Same people showed up. Only this time I had a co-hostess (and I didn't have to carry anyone out of the bathroom). I feel really lucky to have spent the last few months with people that I care so much about and whom I feel care about me the same. It is a huge deal to have friends you can trust and who are like your family.

New Years went great. Spent it with such good friends. Alan fed me a slice of pound cake with a habanero shoved in it. I started hiccuping profusely and passed on the favor along to Austin but he was too drunk by that time to realize what I had done. Oh well... sometimes revenge is silent.

Also this one time I got all punchy because I drank whiskey and Melanie tried to fight me like a bull.

Well.. tonight was great... the people who showed up were champions. the people who didn't were lost beyond their own knowledge. whomever attended knows just how much a good of time was had and that is all that matters. I am so thankful for the friends I have. so thankful. I am blessed. we are all blessed.

Yeah, I have other pairs of headphones... but they don't work nearly as well as these $250 shure in ear monitors. Yes, they still 'just' make sound and no they don't 'wash my dishes' but I like them because they have a silicone lining and because they can be played loud. It makes my biking experience that much better because when assholes in big trucks drive by I can't hear them yell out "Faggot!" I can only see their lips move... I need to get out of this city.

Rapidly approaching 100 posts. I suppose I'd better start getting better at blogging so that my 100th packs a little punch.

I just returned today from a little, yet much needed, vacation to the mountains. Stayed in a nice cabin on a shitty sofa bed. Did a little fishing, a little cooking, a little sitting around the fire, tossing things that probably shouldn't have been tossed into the fire(my right hand is bald). This impromptu vacay couldn't have come at a more opportune time. I had been feeling a little rutty lately. I did have to take off work, which I hate doing but, it's better that I got away for a little while. Unfortunately I only thought to take three pictures the entire trip:

1. The first place we ate: The Ranch House Café. I had the country fried steak and eggs.

2. A picture of me trying on Sunglasses with the tag still on because they didn't have a mirror at the sporting goods store.

3. And a Pity picture of the San Bernardino County Line. Realizing I had only taken two other pictures the entire three days I was up there, I thought I'd better start.

None of these pictures I thought were post worthy so I thought at least I'd post something pretty. I didn't take that picture above but posted it anyways. I know what the mountains look like, you know what mountains look like. If you were looking for the full picture by picture chronicle of what occurred up there just photoshop a picture of me in there somewhere and you've pretty much got the idea.

My situation has been getting better and worse and better and worse and it seems that it is going by fast... until it starts to move slowly by again. This would explain the past few Blogs about me whining about wanting to start fresh, and 'remember the good ol days'. I have been getting super nostalgic though. I have been hanging out at my old starbucks, reading books with friends to pass the time. I've been riding a bike around the city. Listening to old guitar recordings I made, and finishing up the ones that never would have seen the light of day. Getting back to the things that make me me. The little things make me happy and I feel as though I have been missing out on those little things. So I'm taking them back.

Gayle text'd me saying that she was listening to our song on her way up to Portland. I thought that was pretty special. That song is one of only a hand full of songs I keep with me all of the time. I will post it on www.myspace.com/aegisofardorstudios whenever I finish it up. I have already started working on it again... it just needs a little something to round it out and I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what that is. I'd like to get some more(any) work done with her should our schedules ever meet up again.

ZOMG everything is non stop right now. I have enough time to write a blog and shower and then more work more more work. I love my jarb though. I get to play with expensive toys and software and make music. Harmonium is awesome btw. I can't wait to get my hands on some tablas. I am also going to be coming to SF sometime this summer (supposedly) because Habib is doing a few concerts in SF and I want to run sound for his show. I set the system up and things somehow go wrong between OC and SF when I am not there so I want to get there to make sure everything goes well. I could also use a bloody from zeitgeist.

Yes, it was my birthday a few days ago. Thank you to everyone who called, wrote, and came to hang out. I ended up in San Clemente for the majority of the day. There was some sort of Fiesta going on which just meant beer, food, army, boyscouts, and bad music. Most of the day was spent inside of Syrens trying to keep cool, occasionally venturing out for some Egg Rolls or Taquitos. Baby Races happened. It was called the "diaper derby" I think but what it should have been called was "Put baby on a hot vinyl tarp and yell at the child until you're blue in the face... Race". That tarp was really hot. I don't know how no one noticed BEFORE you but your 1-18 Month old baby on it.

After they removed the tarp the races began and it went as expected. The future rockstar there started to cry, the one in purple threw up all over his own arm, and little baby Violet in the back found a leaf that was more interesting than the "race".

After the Stig and I were done with baby chasing and lounging around the salon more music took place at my house and good times were had... I am tired of writing this blog... can you tell? There is more that happened... but I am tired and hungry. So... thats all you get.

I think I'm due for a vacation. There's only so much Debt Paying, Music Making, and Booty Shaking you can do around the house. I've been branching out by listening to records instead of mp3's, Yogurtland...ing, teaching myself Piano theory (again) and Russian. All healthy but none of them really charge my batteries.

I have also started work at the Persian Pop Recording Studio which is awesome. They guys there are pretty cool and they bring me tacos. Having a runner is awesome. It's probably the best part of the job. I can tell someone to bring me something and it happens. Talk about awesome. Anyways... I am up again for no good reason.

oh, and Pandora.com has been rocking my socks. I've made a Blood Red Shoes station mixed with Does it Offend You, Yeah?. But I think they test to see if you're paying attention because every now and again you'll hear something way out of place.

I have been pretty busy these last few days... burning the candle at both ends...

Went to show some love for Gayle at the Derby in LA. It was pretty far for a short show but I figured that watching her play at a venue is always worth it and she is driving way further than I am.

Well... the show at the district didn't end up happening last night like it usually does so instead I went with the Syrens gang to watch one of our own take off her clothes in San Diego. Lotte is secretly part of a brulesque troop called Hell On Heels. They go around performing on stage with Mike Ness and Johnny Cash cover bands and car shows and such... I didn't think it would be awkward at all until Gayle Skidmore came by my house on the way from the District back down to her house in SoCo SD and I told her what the plans were for the evening.... so pretty much we are going to see one of our friend/co-workers take off her clothes for a bunch of people... it's not like a sexual thing... shes like my little sister or something.... but it's not weird... her husband is going to be there... and her sister... and my sister too... and well... it's not like incest or anything... well....

But the show did go very well. she did great on stage. she actually did a little Thriller move that I caught on camera but I won't post it because Taking off you clothes is one thing, having pictures posted on the internet is another..... and doing 80's Michael Jackson moves during both is just unacceptable.

well Gayle's CD Seems to be going well.. she has been doing well for herself she just got back from a west coast tour but back to reality for her.... I totally understand. she was saying that she misses being on the road because everyday is like an adventure and your someplace new and we had a good talk comparing Europe to touring. After our little talk I found out that I couldn't find 1 of 2 tracks that she had recorded with Jason Mraz and I felt really bad.... she swears that she left the CD with me I don't think she did .... but I wouldn't put it past me to lose something. as a consolation prize I let her take my finger drums home so she could use them onstage. Yay...

Well it's sunday now... and I should have a lot to do but I don't want to .... I got sick last night too.... forgot to mention that... I was trying to go cheap last night so I brought a flask into the venue with me and bought a $4Fcukingdollar Coke and mixed my own drinks. PROBLEM IS that I never washed out the flask and I think it had old makers mark in it. So when I mixed my Remy Martin in it ... and then mixed it all into a coke..... it tasted like rust... Im not going to lie. Here is where a little logic should have kicked in...

Hmmm... this drink tastes like Rust... well I don't want to have to buy another drink so I will just struggle through this drink and then get a real one afterwards. instant stomach ache.... then instead of drinking water or something like that I had a real whisky and coke because thats what my drink should have been. needless to say I got a little Grumbly in my Tumbly. I am tired of typing... I should start drinking water... I still feel sick. and I am making myself sicker by talking about it. I love you all... So I've been working on music for the past day or two... I have to say that I am pretty pleased with the results. Not that anyone who reads this probably cares but I have been running my piano through my old bass effects pedal board and after that through my digital delay. I also routed my guitar through a distortion pedal into the same digital delay and all through to my bass amp. I can get some pretty creep-tastic noises coming through my piano/bass effects/digital delay. anyhow... I just thought that you should all know what I have been doing the last day or two just incase you missed me.

Blake Vivian and Austin came to the studio and we had a hoot. Walked
around my local liquer store for about an hour then Blake and Vivian
started cooking. The food was delicious. The company was great.
Entertainment was the Dark Crystal. After dinner and a movie we went
to the Fox and played chinese drinking games. It will be one of those
nights that you don't evet forget. Thanks guys.

Derek came down to my place yesterday afternoon. Nabbed a little Grindage and played a little Gameage then went to target. I stocked up for the long weekend ahead... zumo de piña-naranja-...banana? I hope that works. cokes... soy milk, soap... ummm... toiletpaper.....you know... target stuff... Didn't get a picture frame though... I feel like if you go to target you always have to walk through the picture frame section but I didn't quite make it there. oh well... I am going back out into the consumer world today after I get off of work. Before I do though I have to go to work to bring home some money-money.

After I got back from Spain my dad and I went fishing and I found a few pictures... I just thought that I would post them up... Just 'cause... incase anyone wants to see pictures of me.... for whatever reason....

Anywhoo... it was a great time but that was the day that I burnt the tops of my feet. We also didn't catch anything until I caught a little baby croaker at the pier. That's fishing though.

I'm off to try and finish my book. I only have a few pages left and they are haunting my existence. buy for nao.

Derek and Claire came home last night. iPhones don't take good

good to see them again. I miss being over in Spain and i don't know if

Lotte's Birthday was today and she decided to go to Wild Rivers... I haven't been there since I was a kid and it was tons of fun... we also got about half Syrens there which made it all the better.... I love that we will all be tan for work tomorrow.

So I'm trying to post a blog from my phone. I can do it from the
webpagr but i think it will be easier if I can just e mail it.
I also signed up for netflix again I decided on the two disc at a time
option. I feel like if I have too many options I might not be able to
decide what to watch. Also I feel like if I have more options my cue
will get sloppy. If I only have two movies at a time they have to be
good ones. Ok. I'm at work right now so I can't be too long winded...
Or long thumbed. Anyways. I will make proper blogs later in the day.

Jamie's birthday is today.. but we celebrated it last night at a place called the black bull in Huntington Beach. Lots of friends showed up. Good times were had... and no.. unfortunately I did not ride the bull. I did however lose my voice yelling and cheering on the people who did get the chance to ride. The food there was great and the entertainment priceless... a lot of Huntington beach guys and gals all jacked up on liquid courage getting owned by a mechanical bull... pretty good. Stayed the night at Joel and Jamie's house and Flexed my Rockband Muscle. Just have to practice up every few months incase I ever take the train up north and have to face-off against anyone... you know... just incase that ever happens. Granted, rockband is easier on the brain and fingers... but expert 98% hysteria Muse? first time? well... I will have to find someone with guitar hero 3 so I can practice up on a level playing field.

I miss café con leche. It's not to say that one place is better or worse than another... just different. I wish I could have both. I try to replicate it every now and agian... I get close... it's just not the same.

I suppose I should fold some clothes. I can't believe I have to work tonight... I highly doubt anyone will show up at the District tonight. especially from 8-9... everyone is staking out firework viewing spots. oh well... gots to pay the Bills!

btw... not to sound like an idiot or anything... I just thought it was amusing that there was about a 4 year span that I would misspell the word Clothes. I would spell cloths which is close... but gives quite a different meaning. It never came up as a misspelling in spell check so I never corrected myself. One of my english profs mentioned it to me that "referring to them as wearing 'extravagant cloths' is an interesting idea...". And how I should elaborate on that idea... I did... but I felt like a Wee Todd. ok ok im outta here.

its 23:15 right now and the Billy Idol cover band just started down the street. I've been stalking out all the people from overseas who are coming home, have come home, and who might not be back for a while. Still recovering from being ill yesterday I read more, ate frozen taquitos, and washed it down with Emergen-C. tasty. I also re-arranged some furniture in my house. My past few weeks have balanced each other out. The past few days have been spent relaxing and recovering from the week before that when I did something almost every night enjoying the fruits of my existence. Wether it be a "wipeout party" in Irvine, a consolation party at the fox, Tour de Triangle in San Clemente. Takes a toll on ones body. Fun times... good for the spirit... but spirits can be bad for the spirit. I thought I was doing pretty well for myself... I alternated! Every other beverage was a shirley temple. I even showed some people the light that is alternating. Lead by doing not telling. I'm like the messiah of the cocktail... I've drank some pretty leperous drinks, I've touched the unclean...floors. ok I'm done. That band will go on for another hour and a half... I'd better get into Meditative-pass-out-position. I think it's funny... you can hear everytime the door opens and shuts. I don't mind but for anyone spending the night ever... I have earplugs. Two kinds... just incase you have small earholes. :) Night Night.

I guess this makes my blog over the hill. Or not. Why, it just seems like yesterday I started blogging instead of getting ready for work... I was sick yesterday. It around noon I started to notice my skin feel achy. By 4 I was I'll. I drank 1.5 liters of water, wrapped myself up like a burrito in the heaviest blanket I could find and fell asleep. Woke up about 4 hours later to a couple of hooligans yelling back and fourth about some girl named Sarah and made myself some Shells and Cheese with Peas mixed in. I figured that would be good hospital food. Watched a movie, fell back asleep double blanket status and woke up this morning right as rain. My body Rules. I hardly ever get sick and when I do I can fight it off in about a day.

I think this has been a crap story. I don't have any really good stories seeing as I have been sick. oh... Maybe I can show you my sunburn!

omg it hurt so bad... it happened when I went surfing with casey at tressels. oh... I think I already wrote about this.... yeah... that was a whiney blog too... let me see here.... got it!ok so in less complainy news I went to see our friends last softball game on sunday. Casey, ben, Joel, B.A., Mark, Beannie, Weston, the list goes on.. the fans were not exactly in full force because they weren't exactly playing for the championship or anything... they were playing for second to last or third to last place. still a fun time as always... we usually end up at ben and BA's for beverages, then the game with more beverages and snacks, then back to the house for beverages and snacks and a jump in the pool. Always a good time... I think I will start going to the batting cages every now and again and perhaps I will be on the team next year... Im not that good with paying attention to the game.. I dont know the score.... or the inning... or who is up to bat.... or if the game is over or not... but I do feel like I can hit a large ball far and thats all I want to do. especially if it is amongst friends. ok ok ok Perfect... I must go to work!

Sometimes all you need is a good laugh to put you in a better mood.

My legs are burnt to a crisp. I went surfing with Casey yesterday and had a great time. We went to Tressels which is a pretty "locals only" spot but somehow managed to get me in there. I'd add a picture but my calfs are so burnt it hurts to move or bend or stand.. or... not stand... it just sucks. I also thought that it would be a good idea to try for a little tan because I don't want to look like a total farmer. 15-20 min walk back to the car... shoulders=toasty. All together sucks because I was wearing a long-sleeve rash gaurd, board shorts, and booties, so I could walk across the rocks better, and because of this winning combination I have Dark hands, medium forearms, white biceps, pink shoulders, white belly and quads, pink stripe on my back where my rash guard lifted up a little, red calfs from laying on the board, and white feet (with a nice solid line from) from the booties. oh well... I did it to myself.... I just hope it gets a little better so I can run sound tomorrow at the district.

Podcast was last night as well. Ben's brother was our guest host. We played a Guess the Lyrics game which was pretty fun. You'll all hear when you D/L the episode off iTunes... Search for the indiecast under podcasts and you'll find us.

Laundary will get done today. sleep will get done today... I am worn out.

Pics or it didn't happen!

Proof or not I went out with my dad today. Picked me up at 8am and we went shore fishing in oceanside (with no luck) then came back to my town and went pier fishing... ( I caught a bait sized croaker and threw it back) Either way... a good time was had. Went to breakfast and ended the day with dinner... free lunch tomorrow too.. leftover pasta! Woohoo! anyways... no luck with the fishing but awesome luck with BURNING THE TOPS OF MY FEET! Owwww!!!!! I'm lucky my dad is a dad because he made me wear sunscreen... for some reason I feel as though I am immune to the sun because I see it everyday and feel like because I see it everyday... I am in it everyday... and it no longer effects me. I don't however spent 12 hours directly in it. My face arms and neck are fine but forgot that I was wearing flip-flops and have an awesome White "V" where the strap is and the rest... Bright Red. oh well... complaining is for the complainy.... or the complaintiff... Ima go shower... I smell like fish... even though I didn't catch anything really... I guess I'm just THAT good!

Today was fathers day. After cleaning my house (and myself) up I got to the grandparents place around 2 and ate ate delicious food, drank crown royal, and played poker. Not a bad day by any means. As we were all having our goodbyes the other brother told me he wasn't finished and asked if he could buy me a glass of wine somewhere between our houses. Not being one to turn down good company and good wine we went to a place called Tannins.

The thought actually crossed my mind as I pulled up that I should be studying my flashcards and making new ones however, I was met by a very friendly French waitress and delivered upon to me a delicious feast of french bread, kalamata olive aioli, the garliciest garlic bread I have ever had the pleasure to eat, and a delicious French wine... I figure thats enough studying for one day. Dave and Heather came and we had a great conversation about assorted perverse topics.

On my way home Ryan stopped by and we had a couple of good talks over Teazies and Hook-dawg. Candles were lit. Music was playing.... Nothing like that. I am feeling really good about having people over. Like I mentioned in an earlier post(?) I am starting to feel like I live here and this is home. This is not a box to keep my stuff in. I have stakes here.

Oh yeah... and gas does suck. This is the cheapest I've seen it since I got back from Spain. Goo.

So... after having returned from Spain I found some pictures from childhood. After spending almost three weeks with my brother I think that our relationship and personalities haven't really changed all that much.

Proof:

I am SO glad that I made the trip... for multiple reasons it was a milestone in my life to say the least. I can't be distracted for too long because I am being productive and cleaning house still... I have been cleaning ever since I got back... but I am finally feeling like this place is home. Before it was more of a box on top of work to keep me warm at night and a place to store my stuff. It is starting to feel "warm" now. Trust me its warm during the day... damn near hot but that's not the point. I am also becoming a better human being. Reading more has been So helpful. Instead of zoning out watching TV I have been trying to finish my book and start on the next. I am getting excited for the weeks and months to come. Trying to le... Learning French is also high up on my list. I've always wanted to learn and after being in Paris and not really being able to get around with what little I know, and not really knowing WTF was going on when I was attempting to order I decided that it's about time that I learn. I started making flashcards two nights ago while I was doing laundry and I've been flipping through them avec forte almost hourly... it's about time I up the ante. Regardless of my flash-card situation I am on my way. It will take a little longer to arrive but I am on my way. And I am looking forward to it. ...a lot.

Internet happens here every once in a while... this happens to be the only time I have been blessed with the gift of Laptop. If you have to ask, you might never know... but just in case you Do have to ask ... I am visiting Spain.
The proof is in the puddin'. Although this could be Paris... although I am going to Paris as well.....Anyhow... I should be looking up flights to Bangladesh by now. I've also been reading LAMB the gospel according to Biff, Christ's childhood pal by Christopher Moore. I brought Of mice and men but finished it a lot faster than expected so we found an English book shop and picked up two great books... LAMB and Slaughterhouse 5. Booya! Fishing and Musicians

As usual, instead of getting ready for work I decide it's a good time for blog.

I have been fishing a lot the past few days. I love the ocean and sitting around so pier fishing is a perfect combination of the two. There is a smidge of skill involved seeing as if you don't know how to tie a couple of fishing knots than you might be screwed once something bites. Anyhow... there is another reason I have been fishing... the scenery ain't bad. There is nothing quite like the california sun slipping into the ocean.

In other news Indiecast Episode 5 is almost up. A little more editing and we will have our fifth episode up and our first guest interview. Last night we had Brandon Young in the studio throwing down some insight on what his band Delta Spirit has been up to and what they are expecting in the near future. If you haven't heard yet, look up The Indiecast on iTunes and we should poop up.

Corporate coffee can gargle my nuggets... but thats not to say I don't miss being stuck with friends at a job none of us really care about. It is refreshing, as I think back, to be with a group of people with a set goal that is, in the grand scheme of things, Very Unimportant.

I've also been cooking a lot recently. Trying to save money by not going out... Problem with that is that apparently I have a pricey palette. When I should be out at Trader Joe's buying $.99 organic mac & cheese, I find imported prosciutto, capicola, fresh mozzarella, and greek kalamata olives from the Italian deli next door to be much more favorable. I've been watching the food network pretty religiously and I feel like it has been a double edged sword. I can make my own food now without going to a restaurant however, the money I spend on tiger prawns and sweet chili and walnut tapenade is getting out of hand. Someone had better stop me soon. ... or open a restaurant... either way.

Lost owns.

I am looking forward to this thursday when the new episodes come back on. This show doesn't wrap itself up in 30 min like other shows. Probably for the best. I think if it answered every question that arose it would be a very boring show. There aren't really any cliff hangers either because there are so many unanswered questions that you can't focus on just one. It's a weird give-a-dog-a-bone kind of three-steps-forward-two-steps-back-without-the-dancing-cat kind of wet blanket show that you just Have to love.
